Alberto Parrilla and Chloé Serra have today been proclaimed Balearic triathlon champions in the Olympic modality, by winning the X Triatló Illa de Formentera held in es Pujols. Parrilla, a regular on the podiums in the tests held in Las Pitiüsas, surpassed Aritz Rodríguez, winner of the test last year, and Javier Cardona, who were second and third respectively. In women, Serra dominated the test with great superiority and was almost six minutes ahead of the second classified, Indre Barkute. Third was Andrea Emery Sach, almost 13 minutes behind the winner.

The town of es Pujols has once again been the epicenter of a new edition of the Illa de Formentera Triatló in the Sprint and Olympic modalities, an event that has become consolidated in the national triathlon calendar and that today brought together more than 330 local athletes, national and international, many of whom choose Formentera to end their season, taking advantage of the excellent sea water conditions on the island and a pleasant temperature in the middle of autumn.

At the end of the race, the awards were presented in the same Plaça d’Europa in es Pujols, an event that was attended by, among other authorities, the president of the Formentera Council, Lorenzo Córdoba.
